Rosinante The Sailing Yacht Of Notika Sold

The ketch-rigged sailing yacht 32.6 meter Rosinante of Notika is now listed for sale. It is listed for sale by Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage; it has been sold in an in-house deal.


The yacht was launched in the year 1998, and it was built beautifully by the Notika Teknik the Turkish yard from a GRP superstructure and Cedar hull. The yacht is styled perfectly from inside as well as outside by Olivier Flahault. The naval architecture of the yacht came by Marc Lombard. This was maintained meticulously and upgraded constantly after the regular refits; recently she was refitted at Didim Marina in 2015.

The yacht offers the accommodation for six guests in three en-suite staterooms, which includes a master suite, a twin cabin and a double cabin. The cabin has many well-placed televisions to give it a relaxed ambiance and quarters to the crew. The key features on the deck include an al fresco dining area with an array variety of water toys. METS Stakes In IBEX

RAI Amsterdam is the producers and owners of METSTRADE, The Marine Equipment Trade Show. They have announced that they would be purchasing about fifty percent stake in IBEX, International Boat Builder’s Exhibition and Conference. This stake is being published from Wooden Boat Publications Inc. It is a magazine publisher for Professional Boat Builder that held stakes in the company previously.

Jim Miller, who is said to be publisher and general manager of the magazine, stated that, their company had helped to form IBEX. Now the same ownership is being sold to RAI. The respect that they have for RAI is long standing.

Hence, the company is confident that they will sustain the excellence levels that have been achieved in the show from the time it was conceived, in 1992. The team looks forward to IBEX continuing in the path of success that it has forged since the time it was launched about 26 years back. Rowing Difficult In Rio Weather

Sailing races are one category that remains dependent on the weather. Even with forecasts the weather remains the most unpredictable element for the sailing and rowing races. The rowing races that were scheduled had to be cancelled on Wednesday as the high winds proved a deterrent for the same.

The racers like Paul O’ Donovan, Claire Lambe and Sinead Lynch were supposed to be in the waters today, the fourth day of the races. For them it was the second day that the races were cancelled as the high winds proved to be a deterrent. The rowing regatta in the Olympics might be facing more delays which the authorities fear, looking at the winds and the rains that have been prevalent over the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon area.

It was the first day of the rowing finals and the men’s and women’s quadruple sculls would have been contested today. Claire Lambe and Sinead Lynch of Ireland were partners in the double sculls races and they were expected to compete in the semi finals. King Harbor Yacht Club hosts South Bay teams

Through its Youth Foundation, the King Harbor Yacht Club will accommodate the 4 South Bay schools which provide sailing as a club sport or varsity. Redondo Union High School, South (Torrance), Rolling Hills Prep School (San Pedro) and Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach) will launch all their sailing exercises from King Harbor Yacht Club. Redondo Beach’s harbor as well as facilities is ideal for perfectly dealing with sailing.

Heidi Morris is an experienced sailor who made a varsity sailing team for Rolling Hills Prep School previous year, and is famous for working for Skiathos Bareboat Yacht Charter. Cade, her son, is the captain of the team. Heidi told that her father instilled a love of boating in her when she was a young girl.
